again. Jared here. Did this on his knee. Now this is NOT an easy place to get tattooed on. We did the line work and about a week and half later finished it. He was not super stoked about getting this tattooed, but he survived!
Picture
Yes it is a bit swollen, to be expected when ya get your knee tattooed. I'll get a healed photo soon.
Picture
Sally came up from the Bay again to get her Sleeve finished by my boss and Mentor Carl Hanes. The day after she asked me if I would mind doing this fun tattoo that she had seen drawn up in my station. I was more than excited to oblige.
Picture
Got to finish Jen's back up. Girl is tough. 7 & 1/2 hours her first tattoo. Pretty impressive on her part if I do say so myself, as I am known to be a little on the heavy handed side.
Picture
Got crackin' on some color for Justin's Sleeve. Here's a little bit of it.

finished this one up. Never put up the 'In progress" of it, but as of now, we have started going up the arm for a full sleeve. Should be a fun one. Again it's evolving around the sea theme, which I love doing!

Picture
Thought I'd show one from the 'Blue Lake Casino Tattoo Expo 2011" Had fun with this one.
Picture
Picture
Had a lot of fun with this one. Going to be starting on her back to a half (maybe) full sleeve fairly soon.
Picture
Good 'Ol Bob Marley. She originally just wanted the quote, but I thought she might like a little imagery to help give it a little more "something"
Picture
Started this on my friend and Coast Guard mechanic Justin. Dedicated to the Sea. I cant wait until this puppy is finished!

Picture
Yet another one for Jared.
Picture
This was one Jared got off of my 'Pork chop" sheet. I really had fun tattooing this. Very simple design, yet say's so much don't ya think?
Picture
Seems I have been doing a few cover-ups, which I really don't mind. I enjoy the challenge.
Picture
This was to cover up a surgical scar. Had a lot of fun with this tattoo.
Picture
Picture
Fun tattoo here. tried working with some different color combinations both in the water and in Ganesha. Hopefully get a healed photo soon.
Picture
People really need to get tattoos like these more often. Sailor Jerry never goes out of style in my opinion.
Picture
So this was a two session piece. Super fun tattoo.
Picture
Second session on Tommy's arm. We talked about putting in a Leopard shark coming up from his back down his arm to make it about a 3/4 sleeve. Sounds like a fun tattoo to me.

This is your new blog post. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar.

Picture
Jared's thigh all done. This was very fun tattoo to do!
Picture
Normally wouldn't do the Script down the Ribs like this, but he was persistent on having it go down like that. I did my best.
Picture
Fun little one. Not much to say on this one.
Picture
In progress on Sailor Jared. He didn't like the butt check too much though. Who woulda thunk it?
Picture
A little detail of the next piece I'm doing on Jared. Again always a pleasure!
Picture
I thought I show you a 'Pork chop sheet' I painted. Pork chop sheets were the sheets back in the day that is a tattooer could/did a tattoo off of that particular sheet he could afford to by a pork chop that night for dinner. Shows ya how far we have come. However, I dubbed this a 4 Sushi Roll sheet, just to keep it modern.
Picture
Started this back piece the other day. fun times She sat like a champ! Not bad for her first tattoo!
Picture
So I was going to post the progress of this tattoo, however; I figured since it was finished I'd just show ya this. Now, mind you this was a 4 session piece and by no means easy to take. So for those that think getting your side or any tattoo is easy to get your wrong, yes they hurt and no; tattoos this size don't take 15 minutes to complete. That is my rant for the day on certain shows out there, that is all.
Picture
A fun walk-in. This guy was open for a my interpretation of a Gemini symbol, thought I'd do something fun here, this is what I came up with.
Picture
Enjoyed tattooing this on a rad client. Again always a fun time doing these characters that demand solid line work that you cant hide with shading. Always have to be on point.
Picture
Just thought I'd pop in a photo of my kid. Hanging out on the couch.
Picture
Doing this on my buddy Tommy. He's always more than stoked to get some new Tattoos, I had a cancellation, gave him a call and he cruised on down. Always a great time with Tommy, and he is one hell of a Rock climber, I would know, he kicks me ass on the rocks any chance we get to climb here on the North Coast.
Picture
Picture
So I used to work at a local coffee shop here and a fellow employee came in to get the tattoo of a crane. I really had fun doing this tattoo and enjoyed catching up with a fellow 'bagel maker!"
Picture
Another fun one for my good buddy Sailor Jared. Always down for some tough looking imagery and as always good conversation (I.E talking shit!)
Picture
Picture
Did this on my good friend Brian. He pretty much only has his legs left to work on and well I have been given the task for filling the left leg. This particular tattoo is representative of his three sons (two of with are identical and one fraternal), that he and his wife had. I was more than honored to tattoo him as he is a Marine as well. Thank you Brian for the good times, tattoos and beers!
Picture
Did this for the man that bring's life into me almost every morning. Before you get any weird or nasty ideas, Ben here is a manager at Starbucks and I did this for him as birthday present. Fun times!
Picture
Pretty self explanatory, just thought I'd show ya some script. (I do love me some lettering!)
Picture
Sorry for the crappy Photo. I did this job on my good buddy Ricardo, whom I worked with here at Carl Hanes and whom I can credit with helping me into this life of fun debauchery and Tattoos. A great Tattooer and great friend who I hope to work with again someday and see for many years to come! Thanks homie, it was a blast!
Picture
I did this on John Lopez, a fellow tattooer whom I work with. Was more than honored to tattoo him in memory of his younger Brother.
Picture
One for a regular client, and what became a good friend of mine. Jared is an avid collector of tattoos, seems fitting as he is a sailor!
Picture
A little poppin' Elephant for Sally. This was a very fun tattoo to do for a friend. Always a blast Sally!
Picture
All in good fun. I love taking a classic image and trying my darndest to make it my own. Here I took the subject of a Hannya mask and through in a skull for good measure.
Picture
Another walk-in that was super fun. I drew this up earlier in the day and a young man walked in informed me he had a sum of money and asked what that could get him. He did have a request to make it rather 'unique' in it's own way. I couldn't help myself, I but a choker on her and at the request of the client wrote 'Spank Me'. I love it when someone doesn't take getting tattooed too seriously. They can be for fun sometimes as well!
Picture
Another session on this one, slow a steady for this one. Always a good time!
Picture
Picture
So I think this is rather genius. You can never go wrong! You always have that special someone on you.
Picture
Another cover-up.
Picture
Picture
This was the first session of this one. few more to go and the 90's should be gone!
Picture
Picture
I personally love doing 'girly' tattoos. I mean don't get me wrong I'm all about doing 'tough man tattoos' as well, but there is just something about flowers that make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!
Picture
So I have this obsession about women and eagles and, well anything having to do with very traditional imagery. I have really been enjoying doing these kind of jobs. Thank you Matt for letting me have fun!
Picture
Another walk-in. And a fun one to boot. Got to play with some blending and a few new needle groupings that I normally don't use. Fun Tattoos and good times!
Picture
One for Japan Relief
Picture
So she got this fun little guy in memory of her father who sadly passed away. The Raven to many have a lot of significance, and she was no different. The inside is of a flower (that I wont try and spell as I'll butcher it) coming out of a heart. The flower is found in South America and her Father was down there for a bit as I am told and just loved this type of flower. Anyhow, a really fun tattoo to do and she sat great.

Okay so this isn't exactly what I usually enjoy tattooing, however, I do work in a street shop and these tattoos usually do spike my interest from time to time (look at me sounding all snotty and whatnot!) Anyways I had fun with this tattoo, and they do make you sweat a bit as every line HAS TO BE PERFECT!!!
Picture
This came in late one night. I love one shot tattoos!
Picture
So I finally finished this tattoo, well along time ago now, but like I said, I'm new to this blog deal. I guess you'll just have to deal.

Decided to throw a Peony bud in the mix to try and tie together this sleeve as it was one that wasn't exactly planned out (as he did just happen to come in one day and say I want to start a sleeve, can we do it tonight?). The top of the shoulder is capped by a large Peony (cover-up).
Picture
This is the bottom of the sleeve below, he came in a few days after we finished the 3/4 and wanted it to go all the way down. We decided a Koi for good luck as this sleeve is for his Daughters, one being the Dragon and the other the Ox. He to is on the inside looking on as the Boar.
Picture
So this is actually an older tattoo, but because I'm just starting this Blog business, I'd thought I share. Classic Sailor Jerry--Bold will old!!

One more For Noah

Cover up of a ex- lovers name. I don't mind doing these as well, it gives me a job to do, so I say get that lovers name on your body.
